Peter is a respected finance executive within the South Australian business community having served two terms as State President of CPA Australia in 2004 and 2005.

With extensive expertise in financial management, strategic management, project and change management over 20 years in the public and private sectors, Peter is a Director and heads up mhm’s Business Consulting service line.

Peter has an outstanding track record in assisting clients develop and implement effective and lasting solutions. He works collaboratively to identify and present opportunities for improvement that may not have been originally considered.

Peter has been responsible for a variety of financial and strategic exercises; including project management within the public sector and project management of systems implementations in a range of different industries.

Peter’s experience includes:

  • Financial management, including the establishment of effective finance functions
  • Conducting organisational and strategic reviews
  • Development and implementation of strategic and business plans
  • Budget development and analysis
  • Financial performance and due diligence reviews
  • Identification and development of financial and non-financial performance measures and lead indicators which drive business performance
  • Business case (feasibility study) development
  • Regulatory framework development and compliance
  • Funding and program reviews

During Peter’s professional career, he has provided specialised services to clients across many other industry sectors including services, manufacturing, government and hospitality and leisure.

Prior to consulting, Peter held senior financial and commercial management positions within the public & private sectors including Financial Controller/Company Secretary for an International telecommunications company and General Manager Corporate Services for a State Government Agency.
